Beltway Title was founded in 1971. Our company provides a full range of services to consumers who seek our assistance directly or are referred to us by Builders, Realtors, Mortgage Lenders and Brokers with whom we have burnished our reputation for timely and professional settlement services for more than three decades.

Our company has grown steadily over the years. For the first twenty years or so Beltway Title operated, as most of the industry did in those days, as a one office independent Title Agent, Located in Bladensburg, MD, later in Landover Hills, MD and finally in Lanham, MD.

Beginning in 1990 we launched a long planned growth strategy in an effort to capture our share of an emerging Affiliated Business Arrangement (AfBA) opportunity and to better serve our existing clientele and buyers and sellers. Generally we determined that we needed to grow our company large enough to service the multi-office real estate and mortgage companies in our market that we believed would then be eager to joint-venture with us to form RESPA compliant AfBA title companies, or give them the availability of a multi-office title company.

Indeed our growth has been phenomenal. Since 1990, starting with one small office in Lanham, MD with five (5) employees, we have grown to sixteen (16) offices across the Greater Washington, Baltimore, Northern Virginia market. We now have approximately eighty (80) employees handling approximately ten thousand (10,000) closings annually.

What sets us apart from other title companies is that in addition to being one of the oldest, largest, and most respected settlement services providers in the region, we are also recognized as a pioneer in the conception, creation and development of RESPA Compliant Joint-Venture AfBAs. We currently participate as partners in approximately thirty (30) AfBA title companies in addition to our wholly owned flagship company Beltway Title and Abstract, Inc.

Innovative and energetic leadership defines our company culture. The one thing we know for certain is that we will be successful to the exact degree to which we are able to continue to foresee where our industry is going and being there when it gets there.
