John J. Dwyer, Esq. Is President and General Counsel of Beltway Title and Abstract, Inc. John also serves as General Counsel to various other AfBA title companies which are affiliated with Beltway Title and Abstract, Inc. John is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company. John is an attorney at law with over 35 years experience in the real estate law and real estate settlements arena. As the co-founder and General Counsel of Beltway Title and Abstract, Inc., John is responsible for all general and legal advice to the firm. He was born in 1940 and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1970, and was admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland in 1971

In private practice since 1971, John has successfully represented numerous clients including John Hanson Savings Bank, F.S.B., Beltsville, MD, Clark Financial Services, Inc., Lanham, MD, Joy & Morgan Developers, Inc., Ft. Washington, MD, and K&P Builders, Inc., Bowie, MD and certified title to more than 150,000 title insurance policies with major title insurance companies.

John is a member of the Prince George’s County and Anne Arundel County Associations of Realtors, The Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Land Title Association, the American Land Title Association, the Real Estate Services Providers Council (Board of Directors) and various other title and settlement related associations.
